Digesting lignin
[edit]Since some species eat wood, as noted in the article, they must depend on a gut flora to digest lignin. A reference to published material on this aspect would add to the article's already high quality.--Wetman (talk) 19:45, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Life span?
[edit]The section on "pets" notes that Sphaerotheriids "rarely live longer than a month" in captivity. How does this compare to their regular life span? Augurar (talk) 21:14, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
New photo proposal
[edit]Would it be helpful to add a photo that shows it's scale? The first photo makes it look like it's the size of my hand but the others make it look a bit smaller. Sans text it's size is kind of ambiguous Enthdegree (talk) 03:22, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
