RE: "One remaining Quonset Hut is still visible on the south side of Seward Avenue at Croes Avenue." Are you sure the quonset hut on the south side of Seward and Croes is from the temporary veterans housing program? The Bruckner veterans housing development was bound by Lafayette Avenue, Bruckner Boulevard, Colgate Avenue and Metcalf Avenue. Lafayette Estates now occupies a portion of this land. The Castle Hill veterans housing development was bound by Lacombe Avenue, Cincinnatus Avenue, Castle Hill Avenue and Olmstead Avenue, where the Castle Hill Houses now stand. The quonset hut on Seward and Croes lies outside of these boundaries. Please mention where it is written that this quonset hut is left over from the veterans housing developments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.198.69.29 (talk) 13:34, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

It may have been relocated. It's currently within the grounds of the Soundview Houses and used as a maintenance equipment shed.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.116.115.36 (talk) 16:46, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
