St. Lawrence Seaway
[edit]There should be notes about the All Canadian St.Lawrence Seaway proposal that was floated if the US didn't agree to participate in the Seaway, which would have enlarged this canal. 76.66.201.179 (talk) 06:03, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Pleasure boats
[edit]There are plans to reopen the canal to pleasure boats. The mission of the Régie intermunicipale du canal de Soulanges is to manage the development of tourism as part of the reopening of the canal.[4]
Those plans have been shelves and the canalsoulanges.com website went offline in 2013 or 2014. This section needs to be updated.
