What is Defined as an Incremental Game?

[edit]

I thought incremental games require clicking. In this game, you don't click with the mouse to gain XP; instead you use the arrow keys on computer. Even on "Auto Run", it still doesn't require clicking because the game does all of the running for you. SlySabre (talk) 23:22, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@SlySabre: Hi, I'm the person who classified this game as incremental. The main gameplay in incremental games is not limited to clicking: It just has to consist of simple actions done repeatedly. (Because of this, "simulators" on Roblox are really incremental games.) Pressing and holding arrow keys to move around to gain XP and collecting crystals, which are widespread over maps, are simple actions done repeatedly. In fact, the "Auto Run" feature is reminiscent of idle games, a subgenre of incremental games. ❤︎PrincessPandaWiki (talk | contribs) 05:11, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
