Somatic Experiencing Trademarked?

I was making some edits in this article and noticed variation in how "Somatic Experiencing" is spelled so I changed it all to Somatic Experiencing". After doing more research I've noticed it is also trademarked. Some of the sources that do trademark the therapy could be bias. I was wondering if someone could advise on the spelling and also if a trademark does need to be added? Connorcp (talk) 10:38, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Merge proposal

As Peter A. Levine is known primarily for this technique, and this article already has much on him, a merge for context and overlap seems warranted. Indeed, for a few years it was a redirect; I suggest that a better solution would be to have a distinct section for the biographical details of Levine here, integrating his work with the rest of the content on this page. I have left the page's creator a message suggesting they add sources to show that he is notable independently from somatic experiencing. In its current state, I would support a merge, leaving a redirect with possibilities. Mgp28 (talk) 17:52, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

Peter Levine is not a psychologist

Per Google: "It is illegal to use the title "psychologist" without a license in nearly all U.S. states and jurisdictions, as "psychologist" is a protected title." Peter Levine does not hold a clinical psychologist license, and his PhD is from an unaccredited "International University" that no longer exists. Please update the article to remove the title "psychologist."

Also, in the same section, CBT does not "ignore" sensation, image, or affect. Dubatomic (talk) 00:15, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
