"The"
[edit]The "Name" section of the article says the definite article, "the", has not been part of the country's official name since independence. However, the most recent revision by Mandsford added the word "the" to the beginning of the article. Should this be reverted? Donotforgetmycode (talk) 14:57, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

- Is this the way the country is talked about domestically? In New Zealand I only ever hear “the Solomon Islands”, in the same manner as “the Netherlands”, and dropping ‘the’ would be very unnatural to me. — HTGS (talk) 08:35, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
Class and bare links
[edit]Is an article with so many historic bare links that need updated verification really still C class ? I have updated the 13 year old external links to Government web sites. There has been a lot of water under the bridge since independence when it seems this article got its last major make over. ChaseKiwi (talk) 13:53, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
