– Per WP:RECENTISM, I do not think Soldier Boy from The Boys should be WP:PRIMARY as the idea of a "Soldier Boy" dates back long before The Boys was ever created, and is probably how the character got his name in the first place. Soldier Boy from The Boys might currently be what most people think of when they hear "Soldier Boy", but this may not be the case in the future (again going back to how "Soldier Boy" is a historical term/phrase/idea/something). - Oppose Not recentism. Soldier Boy's pageviews have been incredibly high since late 2022. Unless you are Rip Van Winkle, that is not recent. Clear primary topic. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:41, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- View count =/= primary topic, and the spike in 2022 was caused by Soldier Boy's first appearance on TV. 4 years of high view counts for a page called "Solider Boy", a fairly widely spoken phrase prior, isn't enough to determine PT. While "Soldier Boy" might be associated with The Boys for the next 10-20 years (especially with his spin-off), this won't be the case forever, and we should consider that. - I don't know how widely used it is, as it's not even listed on List of military slang terms. But even if we directed soldier boy to that list instead and made an entry about it, the capitalized version would still have the Boys character as the primary topic per WP:DIFFCAPS. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 21:14, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

- Oppose per Zxcvbnm. The pageviews dwarf the others. Frost 16:26, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Support. No primary topic by long-term significance. Pure recentism (yes, 2022 is recent!). -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:48, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
