Socket 5
[edit]It supercedes the Socket 5, they only differnce between the 2 is the Socket 7 can do a dual split rail voltage while the Socket 5 can only have a single voltage.
- Is this right? I've seen Socket 7 motherboards that didn't support dual vcore rails. Crusadeonilliteracy 07:19, 21 Feb 2004 (UTC)
37 and 37 pin?

- I had the same reaction but I think it is badly worded. The 19x19 number is if you count the first row and not the staggered ones. If you count in zig-zag you get 37x37 pins.
- Apparently there are packages with 321 pins or 296 pins. So the socket is physically the same but it accepts CPU:s with different numbers of pins... at least that's how I think it was meant.
