Disambiguate sockets?

[edit]

I may be able to work a bit on sockets (computer science) so I propose to turn this in a disambiguation page (altough I see this needs some care). Is there something against that? MaxDZ8 16:52, 21 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I suppose not, but wouldn't it be more practical to do this after you have actually written anything. Eruantalon 14:37, 24 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Sure, I just wanted to propose this to get some feedback before I actually start writing something, just to understand how this shall be written. MaxDZ8 13:53, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
I agree that there should be seperate sections for computer sockets and electrical sockets. Wirewad 01:32, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Socat, netcat

[edit]

A networking utility similar to nc is called socat, not socket. Although this is a useful utility, does it belong here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.177.125.132 (talk) 18:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
