Definitions need to be cited

The Status/Role distinction draws specifically on Ralph Linton's formulation of those concepts - I dont know of any major disagreement on this since Linton defined the concepts clearly. Social Position is a more general concept and is probably used in many different definitions (e.g. Bourdieu's definition of a social position it as a position in a field of practice that regulates the flow of symbolic capital).User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 19:47, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
