Removed the 'technical' requirements for a snowball to produce the snowball effect. Not really required as the point of the term is that a snowball effect is based on how a snowball rolling on snow gets bigger, to add that certain requirements for moisture/temperature etc. are required is a mute point for what the term itself means. ny156uk 11:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Does this article really need to exist? It seems like it would be better suited to wiktionary, and it somewhat repeats the material from the "domino effect" and "butterfly effect" articles. It also has almost no references. --Titus.jon (talk) 02:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

This article may need to exist as far as it may help learn a lesson from even the foolish such that something needs to be avoided. Such may be the case with the butterfly effect, which is literally quite, if not definitely, unlikely. The extremely dubious Lorenz's question "Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?" itself needs to be formally asked and answered. Who should answer it? After Lorenz, perhaps the MIT school who may benefit from the Lorenz attractor and the like should answer it. KYPark (talk) 04:46, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
