About the old redirect to Igloo

Merge with "snow house"?
[edit]I think it might be nice to merge this article with snow house since the two subjects are more or less the same. (Note, to me a "snow house" is built or dug out of a man made pile of snow, while a "snow cave" is dug into existing deep snow or into a snow covered slope.)
Dangers of snow caves
[edit]Aren't these things dangerous? I've heard of snow caves collapsing on people but this article doesn't list any dangers, just the how-to. Breno 12:08, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- They have much the same dangers as a single family residence: if not constructed properly, they might collapse on the occupants, not offer protection from the elements, and suffer structural damage if a car is parked on the roof, etc. The equivalent cautions would be good points in the construction information, just as a house is expected to be built according to standards, those built hastily by unskilled people tend to be dangerous. Of course, the dangers from soft, thawing snow don't fit the analogy; the last external link lists several dangers associated with snow caves. —EncMstr 17:14, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
