I'm interested to know what is meant by the description in the article of Slootdorp as "quaint". If anything, I would expect it to be quite modern (brick and concrete instead of wooden windmills, etc.), if I'm right in saying that the site was underwater prior to the draining of the polder in the 20th century. This is a fascinating bit of history and needs to be discussed in the article. Was it laid out according to a particular plan instead of growing organically as with many settlements with older origins? There are many more similar questions that could be asked.
