Flash did NOT invent the slipmat
[edit]Someone please correct this page. Slipmats were not invented by Grandmaster Flash. They were around decades before Flash was even born, used by DJs on radio stations - you can see old photos from the 1950 for example. Francis Grasso (born 1948) is credited with introducing the pre-existing slip cue technique to clubs during the 60s, when Flash was just a child. 217.155.202.33 (talk) 16:06, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Just for info - the Grasso claim is not supported by his own article, slipmat, beatmatching, or the slip-cue article, whereas the Grandmaster Flash claim has support. Remember - Wikipedia supports verifiability, not truth. Chaheel Riens (talk) 11:57, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
