I've not been able to find any reference to this. I'm familiar with the idea of using the direction of smoothness v. roughness to work out sense of movement, just not with that name. The diagram is supposed to help. Mikenorton 18:17, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply


Proposed revisions

We propose to revise and add to the existing article for a crustal rheology class. Proposed new sections will be on the mechanisms of slickenside creation and slickenside geometry.
