Proposed move

[edit]

Six-red World Championship –> 888sport.com Six-red World Championship

Sangsom Six-red World Championship –> Six-red World Championship

Most readers when searching for the "six red world championship" will presumably be searching for the current tournament rather than the defunct one. Betty Logan (talk) 10:42, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

We definitely shouldn't be disambiguating by sponsor. It should be done by year. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 20:35, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is a 13-year-old discussion, unless I'm missing something. The sponsors' names were removed from the page article names. Betty Logan (talk) 10:27, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I didn't realise this was stale (this is so stale it's clinically dead). I just got the message about the IP making a comment and mistook it. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 15:35, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Time to sort it out after 13 years then and include the Six-red World Championship on the Six-red World Championship page. 2A01:36D:118:A846:B804:8EC3:3BC2:9969 (talk) 17:57, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Missing 2009 Six Red World Championship

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that the 2009 Six Red World Championship is missing, when Mark Davis won the title. Probably because there was another Six Red tournament in the same year in July called Six Red World Grand Prix, which was won by Jimmy White. The one that Mark Davis won in 2009, took place in December. There's already a Wiki page about that tournament by the way, it just needs to be added here. Also, please fix it so it says Mark Davis played in 3 finals and won all 3 of them. Thank you. Here's the source link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Six-red_World_Championship Shocker93 (talk) 01:44, 5 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The tournament is not missing. As explained in the article, the 2009 event was a different event. It would not be appropriate to add it here because Mark Davis did not win this event in 2009, Jimmy White did. Betty Logan (talk) 03:06, 5 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
