explanation of revert

All robots are situated, but not every situated agent is a robot (at least, that is an open debate in AI.) If there are other meanings of situated, they should be added into this article, rather than having the content of this article removed.--Jaibe 15:57, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I've created a more general article Artificial intelligence, situated approach which intends to be the repository for this info. I suggest that instead of a Situated article you create a Situated systems article, putting the emphasis on the robotics viewpoint. DavidBourguignon (talk) 09:36, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

too many related concepts

I propose this page to refer to various terms - e.g. in computer science but also in social science. Consider the work by Donna Haraway on situated knowledge. --Ingmar.lippert (talk) 15:26, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Given that very different concepts of situatedness exist (at the least from computational and social sciences), I propose to change this page to a disambiguation page. If you want to move a page, see WP:RM. In this case, we don't disambiguate article titles unnecessarily - we would have to have a second article that needs to be some variation of 'Situated_(XXXX).' And even then, if there are only one or two, appropriate use of a {{For}} template is probably better. - MrOllie (talk) 16:17, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
