As far as i can remember my olf folks were used ot telling short story about the name of our place. The event can be traced back from the time when Philippines was still under the power of Spaniards. One day a missionary came and asked a native of the name of the place pointing the finger to the ground, seeing red ants and thingking that the missionary was asking about those creatures, the native ansered him Sirum, refering to the ants. Well, i dont know the reason why now our town is named as siruma. but i can say of something which our town is riched of, natural resources, tourest spots and culture own particularlly by sirumanians. jexea125@yahoo.com
