Pronounced…?
[edit]The pronunciation is a bit ambiguous right now. How should it be pronounced, along the lines of Shawn? It should really be rendered in IPA. —C.Fred (talk) 16:27, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- @C.Fred:Sorry, long time in the making... 12 years later, the pronunciation is Shawn, but the spelling is the correct Welsh language way, Siôn which is written as part of the Celtic languages. So, Sion is written with the letter changed the letter of 'o' with what is known as the 'roof', but in Welsh, it's called a 'to', as in ô. I believe this to be more of a Germanic naming and less English, but still, the name can be used in English easily. Also, it's a placename; e.g. Sion, Switzerland.
