I've translated the first portion. There are a lot of issues however: 1) Sinkang Wenshu seems to refer to a specific set of contractual documents, not just any documents written in romanized Sinkang. As such, I feel that 2) there should be an article about the Sinkang language detailing the development of the Dutch romanized script, with the majority of the material moved over there. Finally, 3) Fanzi is a Taiwanese term that I did not want to attempt to translate for fear of missing the connotation. "Barbarian contracts" is the closest I can do.

) You mean 「番仔契」?? How about "contracts of the aborigines"?? I am not an expert on this. However, I thought the beside the meaning specifically refering to the compiled contracts, Sinckan Manuscripts can also be used to refer the writing form of the language. I guess that may not be an huge problem to keep the information here. However, I could be wrong. Let me express my appreciation of your work on this article. I honestly am not very familiar with the topic, but it seems to me that Sinckan Manuscripts really refers to the compilation made by Naojiro Murakami. This article needs a lot of help though. Glad I could be of help :-) Mgmei 02:21, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
