SrM
[edit]SrM accronym is not an industry recognised term, it seems to be only used by one company and its presence on the wikipedia page is not relevant. The industry accepted term for Single Point Mooring is SPM, as confirmed with experts of the field. SrM is never used in international recommandations that only mention SPM. e.g. https://www.pianc.org/publication/recommendations-for-the-design-and-assessment-of-single-point-spm-and-multi-point-mooring-mpm-facilities/ https://www.ocimf.org/fr/publications-plaidoyer/publications/livres/terminal-interfaces-books/guidelines-for-the-purchasing-and-testing-of-spm-hawsers-2 ~2026-37355-58 (talk) 11:29, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
- Agree with this comment. The recognised acronyms in the industry is either SBM for Single Buoy Mooring either SPM for Single Point Mooring. "SrM" is a desperate tentative by a private company to attract attention ~2026-38067-77 (talk) 07:42, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
