[edit]

There was a 1967-1968 television game show Treasure Isle set in a lagoon beside a hotel in Florida. It turns out it was the old Colonnades Beach Hotel which is described in this history of the area. Youtube has an episode of the show which mentions the hotel. The show appears to use a wireless microphone worn by host John Bartholomew Tucker and appears to be held out by him every time a contestant speaks. This was the first time I ever saw a wireless microphone though the wireless mike history says there were a few occasions in the 1940s and 1950s that others were used. —EncMstr (talk) 16:37, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
