US vs UK

[edit]

There are clearly two Simoniz companies, one based in the US (Simoniz USA, Inc) and the other based in the UK (Simoniz Protection, owned by Holt Lloyd International Ltd, itself part of the UCI-FRAM Group). I have only discovered this as I was looking into the history of "Simoniz" and, specifically, it's past ownership by the now-defunct Burmah-Castrol Group. I came to the Wikipedia page and found nothing about it, so discovered the above through a bit of Googling. I am therefore not at all qualified to write anything encyclopaedic about it, but thought I leave this here for reference and interest. Weasley one (talk) 14:39, 27 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Canada

[edit]

Similar to the UK/US remark noted here, the Simoniz brand also exists in Canada, as yet another unrelated operation. Canadian Tire has it as a store brand for automotive detailing products. Personally, I am sort of interested to read more on the history of how the brand got the way it is (sort of fragmented), but I can't find any reasonable references and the lack of any is also probably why the article doesn't actually mention the Canadian brand at all. 205.207.203.14 (talk) 18:38, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
