position of General Spoor

General Simon Hendrik Spoor was Army Commander in the Netherlands East Indies. This is not to be confused with the position of Chief of Staff, which is a subordinate position to a commander of any sizeable military unit. The Chief of Staff functions as an exectutive officer. General Spoor, as I already wrote, was in overall command.
