Notable?

[edit]

This person appears to be a skilled cross-country skier but hardly notable. The article has one source, a website which doesn't seem to mention any Olympic participation. Is it there somewhere in the list of events? And anyway, qualifying for the Olympics does not make you notable: should there be a wikipedia bio for everyone who finishes twenty-somethingth in an Olympics event? Olympic participation is very clearly mentioned in the list of events on that web page, and, yes, consensus has always been that any Olympic competitor is a suitable subject for a Wikipedia article. Phil Bridger (talk) 09:18, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK, now I see it buried in there. And if that's the consensus on notability in sports then I'll just have to accept it. Perchloric (talk) 02:44, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
