Notability
[edit]I don't understand why the notability of this software is in question for inclusion in Wikipedia. It has been cited many times in peer-reviewed academic journals which makes it notable enough in my view. - It's simple: the article does not have citations from reliable sources. Find some and notability can be proven. --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:58, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- OK, not sure if this is enough but I have added links to Silverfrost's Fortran compiler site (one of the major fortran compilers on windows) which features Simfit and its graphics library (Simdem) as a showcased product. Simdem is also included as part of the Numerical Algorithm Groups Fortran Compiler (derived from the world's first Fortran 90 Compiler which was developed by NAG) on Windows.
- The blog post that was originally linked to on the Simfit page contained citations to a selection of peer-reviewed journal articles. Since the blog link obviously offended someone, I'll not reinstate it, but would it be appropriate to put the citations on the simfit wiki page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.88.148.197 (talk) 14:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

- Three years later... SIMFIT is well known in the scientific community and Google Scholar comes up with hundreds of articles. I added two references and removed the maintenance templates. Alfie↑↓© 22:47, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
