Questions
[edit]When did it move to the A Line? Also needs more details on the routings in Florida - this is confusing!
Equipment
[edit]We seem to have some disagreement on whether this section covers current or former operations. At this point the AEM-7 and HHP-8 aren't on the road. If we're going to cover them then that's fine, but the GG1 and E60 also presumably hauled the Silver Meteor on the corridor. Mackensen (talk) 13:34, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Delays
[edit]I took the Amtrak for the first time on March 28, 2018 from NY Penn Station to Deerfield Beach, FL. My train was at Petersburg Amtrak Station in Virginia for 6-7 hours because of a derailed Autotrain north of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I keep searching google for "97 Silver Meteor 14 hour delay" and i'm shocked that there aren't any results.
I came back from Florida to New York on Delta flight 731 scheduled to take off at 12:15PM. It got delayed and takeoff didn't happen until around 11:00PM. I searched google for "Delta flight 731 11 hour delay" and I get no results.
What is going on here? I'm very suspicious about this. I never had delays like this and it can't even be in the news! — Preceding unsigned comment added by EphraimB (talk • contribs) 02:04, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- There was plenty of routine coverage of the Auto Train derailment, though not its knock-on effects (see e.g. the Washington Post). It's no more noteworthy than the pileup that closed Interstate 80 for five hours in Pennsylvania yesterday. Mackensen (talk) 02:57, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
