Content orgin?

I'm glad to see that the Signers Monument has an article, but I have a concern about the orgin of the article text. Was the text taken verbatium from the referenced magazine article? If so it may not meet Wikipedia requirements for respecting copyrights, please see WP:COPY for more detailed information. If it was taken directly from the magzine article, the best resolution is to re-write the text, and reference the magazine article and NPS webpage for the applicable facts. I will be happy to help with this effort! If the article is orgional text by the Wikipedia article creator, inserting inline references in the text of the article will make this clear. Again, thanks to the orgionator of this article for getting it started! Best wishes. Civilengtiger (talk) 22:37, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Never mind... A quick check of Wikipedia:Public_domain reminds me that US works published before January 1, 1923 are in the Public Domain and the magazine source is referenced so the question is moot, thank you. Civilengtiger (talk) 22:46, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
