POV and style issues

I've cleaned up some vague or redundant phrasing as well as some POV issues in the lead the "Background" section (), but it became clear to me that the problems may be more than superficial. Much of that section read a little like a patriotic polemic in defense of Egypt(ians) against the "Armenians" who keep "stabbing in the back", and I'm skeptical about the accuracy of some of the statements as a result.
