pronunciation
[edit]the IPA was ambiguous as to what the u was supposed to represent. Could someone correct if need be? kwami 04:26, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Name & proper designation
[edit]Shuniah is not a township or a municipal township. It is a municipality consisting of more that one township. It consists of McGregor township and McTavish Township, and historically McIntyre township before the creation of Thunder Bay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.76.237.230 (talk) 03:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Please re-read township (Canada). Geographic townships and political townships are two different things; a municipal township can encompass more than one geographic townships. And "municipality" is not a separate status; any place in Ontario that has "municipality" in its official name is still legally a town or a township; Shuniah's legal status is still that of a township.
