Update to Shoes.com Page Information

[edit]

In the About section:

Remove sentence: "As of 2017, Shoes.com contains over one million products, many which can also be purchased on Jet.com.[3]"

Add to end: "In 2020, the company was acquired by CriticalPoint Capital from Walmart. [5]" (source: https://footwearnews.com/2020/business/mergers-acquisitions/walmart-shoes-com-sold-1203048445/)

In box on the right-hand side of page, update below information:

Owner - Update Walmart from (2016-present) to Walmart (2016-2020). Add CriticalPoint Capital (2020-present) Number of employees - Update from 200+ (2017) to 100+ (2020) Parent - Update from Jet.com (2016-present) to CriticalPoint Capital (2020-present)

Deferring to other editors or to a later date, as I don't have time to verify this right now. In the meantime, I put {{outdated}} at the top of the article so readers will know that the page may not contain current information. Any editor is welcome to remove it once the page is updated or once the page is confirmed to be already up-to-date, whichever the case may be. I've added |answered=no to the {{edit semi-protected}} template at the top of this section. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 22:57, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Shoes.com redirects to dsw.com

[edit]

As of June 2022, shoes.com has been redirecting to dsw.com. See https://web.archive.org/web/20220501000000*/shoes.com I am not sure how to add this information; it seems like "shoes.com" is no longer in business. Feel free to edit if you have a better understanding than I do. Moldyearwax (talk) 23:45, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yes, shoes.com directs to DSW.com - its parent company.Women’s Wear Daily ~2026-30829-79 (talk) 04:12, 23 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
