I removed the category "gay village" added on July 18th since Shinbashi is not one.

The comment of the edit on July 18th was "(added gay village per Shunjuku ni chome)" which makes me think that the editor had mistaken "Shinbashi" with "Shinjuku".

Shinjuku does have an area "Shinjuku ni-chome" that is a well-known "gay village." As far as I know, there is no "Shunjuku" in Tokyo.

Name

[edit]

The Kanji seems to imply that Shinbashi means "New Bridge". This needs some research.
