Misleading points

[edit]

A number of points in this article are, in my opinion, misleading. For instance, IpaB, C and D (which, by the way, should not be in italics, as they are proteins) are not injected into the cell but IpaC and D form a translocon at the tip of the T3SS while IpaD guides the insertion of them. Altogether around 25 different effector proteins are then secreted into the cell via this complex. I will start correcting this part first unless anyone seriously objects. Image accuracy

The picture doesn't make them look very rod-shaped... Evercat (talk) 12:27, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

clarification needed

[edit]

Reading this article, it seems to be unclear which parts of the intestine Shigella invades. Could someone clarify? Thanks! ~2026-39403-95 (talk) 14:32, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
