Clarifying the intro
[edit]Can someone who knows something about this fix up the intro so that it's more understandable to those who don't already know what it is? I read the intro twice and still don't understand exactly what it is 108.64.237.211 (talk) 02:39, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
Which bit is unclear? This:
it isolates the specific effects of the treatment as opposed to the incidental effects caused by anesthesia, the incisional trauma, pre- and postoperative care...
?
