Rewriting Needed

[edit]

This article needs to be rewritten, preferably by an editor with some understanding of municipal law and politics. For just a few examples,

  • a decree is a judicial order, not a law;
  • a decree is issued by a judge, not enacted;
  • the lede is uninformative and doesn't even identify Michael Shakman clearly;
  • there are numerous errors of grammar, syntax, diction, and style; and
  • the citations are merely blanket-references to entire works, without page numbers or other specific information.

The related article, Michael L. Shakman v. Democratic Organization of Cook County, suffers from many of the same faults as this, and should be rewritten as well, and probably combined with this article. J. D. Crutchfield | Talk 20:41, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Shakman Decrees. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
