The result of the move request was: moved. Plenty of discussion has been had, and while opposition remains, there is a supermajority in favour of moving with a reasonable page views argument, and with that a consensus to move. No other believable primary topic in my opinion. Doctor Who drama doesn't have its own article. Shadowheart (album) appears to be independently notable, but the Baldur's Gate 3 character is overwhelmingly the more prominent use of "Shadowheart" in contemporary reliable sources and reader interest, and has substantially greater enduring significance. A hatnote to the article about the album at the top of this article would suffice, but a new or separate disambiguation page could work too. Haleth (talk) 03:21, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

• Oppose Shadowheart (album) does not have fewer pageviews, and I am dubious of the less significance argument since the album existed for decades prior to the character. The album's page is little-developed, but that has no bearing on whether it can be made into a fully developed page. Unless the album page and that of the artists is outright deleted for non-notability, this should not be moved in my opinion. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:29, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

  I don't think you can accurately compare page views here, because I only recently patrolled this article page & marked it as reviewed (as in, shortly before this requested move was opened). Plus, can I just say: I don't think it's realistic to claim that an article for 2008 album from a Finish folk metal band has more real views or interest than the page for one of the most popular characters from a AAA game that won multiple game of the year awards? — Chao Garden 🌱 ~ say hello 18:40, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

  Here's a comparison of Baldur's Gate 3, Shadowheart (Baldur's Gate 3), and Shadowheart (album):

  The album gets only a couple views a day, at most. BG3 gets about 2k per day, on average. The page for Shadowheart (the character) was just recently patrolled and the pageviews are already showing a spike (I'm seeing 99 views from yesterday, when it was patrolled) — Chao Garden 🌱 ~ say hello 18:53, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

  (Creator) To add onto Chao Garden's argument, other Baldur's Gate 3 character articles get a significantly higher amount of views than the album, on average :

  • Dark Urge 87
  • Minsc 79
  • Minthara 77

  If this article has insufficient pageviews to tell whether it is primary, then requesting a move is premature. There is literally always a - often massive - new article bump before it settles down to its "background noise" pageviews. Furthermore, Shadowheart (album) is basically a stub that is essentially a directory listing. It would surely get more interest and views if expanded, and the assertion that no one cares about a 2008 folk metal band may or may not be correct - there are plenty of popular bands. Both things make me feel like this is highly premature of a move.

  If people feel this strongly, maybe consider bringing Shadowheart (album) up to the same level of quality. If it still lags far behind in views, you have yourself an open and shut argument. Right now it is somewhat heavily based on external sources. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 23:46, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

  (Creator) WP:PRIMARYTOPIC states "Usage in English-language reliable sources matters the most". Usage in English-language reliable sources refers mostly to the character and not the album, so I don't see how the article being recently created would stop it from being the primary topic. Just because the article was created recently doesn't mean the coverage for the character is thin or recent.

  I could only find one English-language reliable review on the album as assessed by WP:ALBUMS/SOURCES (There are others in German .) This means that for every English-language reliable source on the album there are at least 26 English-language reliable sources on the character as assessed by WP:VG/RS (26 out of the article on the character's 30 references are English-language secondary sources), including scholarly coverage. Even if we assume that I missed a couple more reviews/articles on the album (bringing the total of English-language reviews to 3), the ratio would still be 8.6 to 1, just using the sources currently in use on the character's article.
