This page is not unambiguously promotional, because Shabnam Hashmi is a well established activist of India and would have thousands of entries on google. No need to promote her. It is for wikipedia to see that such prominent people are not omitted.

I have removed some of the promotional/non-neutral content. Hashmi has received a lot of press coverage and certainly should meet the general notability guideline. What is needed is to find reliable, independent sources for all the statements made in the article. Books, national newspapers, magazines or journals are ideal sources.
