- "The film represents a unique accomplishment in cinema"
- Sexual Life is one of a very few films that uses a "daisy-chain plot," a la La Ronde
- "The film features significant involvement ... by a notable person and is a major part of his/her career."
- Ken Kwapis is a notable director of TV and film, who would go on to essay similar material in He's Just Not That Into You. This is the only film he has directed that he also wrote.
- The cast also consists of notable actors.
- "The film is widely distributed..."
- As an indie film, it did not receive distribution as large as a Hollywood blockbuster, but it did play several festivals and run on Showtime. It was also released on DVD.
