Lead doesn’t capture sextortion

Sextortion is a typically online blackmail scam where sexual photos of someone are held for ransom. It’s done for money, not for sexual favors. ꧁Zanahary꧂ 22:05, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

Money is certainly part of the reason, although I think sexual sadism or a thirst for power is an additional motivator for some perpetrators. Some men who are so inclined might find it thrilling or empowering to, metaphorically, “have another man by the balls” by humiliating their victims sexually in this manner. 173.27.3.111 (talk) 05:39, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
