This is unclear, can someone improve it? I'd do it, if I understood what the intent was.

Session capping is a term in online advertising that means restricting (capping) the amount of specific advertising sessions a visitor to a website is allowed to have.

First of all, what is "amount of advertising sessions"? Count? Total elapsed time?

Is this number of sessions, sum total of time spent in all sessions, and is an advertising session different than session as defined in the next paragraph?

It sounds like session and advertising session are being used synonymously, but this should be cleared up as well.
