water tower

[edit]

Is there any new info on the water tower controversy? I find that rather fascinating, but I'd rather not pay x-amount for an article. YellowAries2010 (talk) 22:47, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Date notation

[edit]

Since Wikipedia has an international readership, would it not be better to replace the confusing date notation "7/20/17" with either "July 20, 2017" or "20 July 2017" (as is customary in other Wikipedia articles)? This way of writing dates is uniquely American English, and if the day were anything from the 1st to the 12th it would be unclear which figure stands for the day and which for the month. It is surely also illogical to put the figures in the order month-day-year, since the day is the shortest unit and the year the longest. By the same token, in any language other than American English "9/11" would mean 9 November, not 11 September.89.212.50.177 (talk) 10:44, 29 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

First settlements

[edit]

it's says something about the first "white settlement" but I think we should change it to the first "European settlement" or "Spanish settlement" to erase any confusion. Serfl (talk) 22:25, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
