One of the 'facts' on this page is wrong. The writer says that Wardlaw Hill is at Caelaverock - which is right down on the Solway Firth - but in fact Wardlaw Hill is near Cumnock, north of Sanquhar. As for citing my sources - looking at any map of South West Scotland.
The 'fact' that the above writer maintains is wrong is in fact correct. There may be a Wardlaw Hill at Cumnock, but there is also a pre-historic hillfort by that name at Caerlaverock (grid ref NX025666). From the top on a good day one can see Carlisle in the distance.
