Re; Discussion ‘self’. Expansion needed 28/1/2011 I agree. The article is cursory, but there are many more important topics to be discussed before the ‘self’ can be fully and easily understood. Does the awareness/sense of selfhood come before personhood?

Change to: Self is the experience of one's own knowledge and behavior.

More Balance in Topics

I thought this article was pretty well-rounded as a whole, but I do think that there should be more information balancing out the different sections of the article. There was a lot of information on the sociology of self, but I think that either it should be cut down some, or the other sections should have more information.JPmar405 (talk) 01:54, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

Translations of selfhood

• Greek: (η) εαυτότητα (feminine noun)

  individuality: (η) ατομικότητα (feminine noun)

Selfhood is a personhood-related overlapping term but with different focus, for example the limitations, individual thinking whilst being part of a group, etc.

Selfhood isn't clearly differentiated from personhood but it has a different focus (search works on selfhood).

Please create the page selfhood. Nowadays we study digital personhood. Personhood is gradient. If we don't study selfhood we might create autistic digital persons simply because we didn't bother to elaborate on specific subtle topics. Personhood is subtle. It requires many explanations.
