Excavation

[edit]

Folks, I've been doing a bit of reading on the first modern excavation on the site by Mortimer-Wheeler, specifically his book "Still Digging". Any objections if I added something to the article based on this? --DaioftheTriffids (talk) 14:16, 31 January 2020 (UTC)DaioftheTriffids--DaioftheTriffids (talk) 14:16, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

National Trust pilot

[edit]

Hello! During late June, July and some of August, I'm working on a paid project sponsored by the National Trust to review and enhance coverage of NT sites. You can find the pilot edits here, as well as a statement and contact details for the National Trust. I am leaving this message when I make a first edit to a page; please do get in touch if you have any concerns. Lajmmoore (talk) 15:55, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Source of the name

[edit]

By what list, description or inscription is the name recorded? I ask, because Ptolemy in his Geography noted a port named Segantion between Morecambe Bay (Morikambē eischysis) and the next two estuaries. South and much west of these these he noted the cape Kaianganōn akron, which, due to its position, seems to be the head of Lleyn Peninsula.--Ulamm (talk) 22:46, 4 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
