I apologize if I am not doing this correctly, this is my first delete. My main problem is that the idea of a "Second Redemption" appears to be very limited. If you bing search "Second Redemption" AND "race relations" you only get 28 hits, about five of which are mirrors of the wiki reconstruction page that has a link to this page. The only substantive discussion of this concept appears to by in the article by Joondeph

Again, the idea is intriguing, but I don't think this passes Wikipedia:Notability, it also lacks Wikipedia:Neutrality, presenting the idea as an established fact, whereas I feel that many would dispute the idea that a Second Redemption has happened. Moreover, is a single article, even if in a peer-reviewed journal, enough of a WP:RS?--Bellerophon5685 (talk) 22:26, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

The idea seems to be picking up steam; see https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/welcome-to-the-second-redemption/507317/ My question goes to whether this term refers to politics in the USA generally, or only to politics in the southeastern USA. Indeed, has the frame of reference changed over the past several years? The usage here raises a separate question of whether disambiguation is required: https://cwnc.omeka.chass.ncsu.edu/exhibits/show/second-redemption  Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.27.111.134 (talk) 16:01, 3 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
