Bockhampton
[edit]Per Debrett's Peerage 1995, his grandfather J. L. Graham(-)Jones was of "Bockhampton House, Dorchester, Dorset"; his probate record specifies "Bockhampton House, Stinsford, Dorsetshire", so presumably whichever of the Bockhamptons is at or near Stinsford is the correct one(?) The Stinsford article states "The parish includes the settlements of Higher and Lower Bockhampton", so maybe no greater specificity is possible, unless we consider the fairly strong possibility he was born at the family house. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-26723-97 (talk) 23:38, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
