Other methods
[edit]Variety of other methods are employed to get a webpage indexed and shown up in the results. Few methods listed below:
- Cross linking between pages of the same website. Giving more links to main pages of the website, to increase PageRank used by search engines.[1][2] Linking from other websites, including link farming and comment spam.
Should this be related to internal linking and information architecture? I think we should identify black hat methods versus white hat methods. Jehochman Talk 04:47, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Keyword rich text in the webpage and key phrases, so as to match all search queries.[3] Adding relevant keywords to a web page meta tags, including keyword stuffing.

- Title and url optimisation for a page. Search engines give more weight to url and title match over page text match.[4][5]
