Hello. I am the husband of Sean Shepherd and have disclosed this above. I would like to request the following addition to the Career section, after the paragraph about the Charles Ives Living Award. All claims are cited.
Proposed text:
In 2023 Shepherd completed On a Clear Day (An einem klaren Tag), a 50-minute oratorio for solo cello, two solo voices, youth choir and orchestra setting poetry by the German poet Ulla Hahn.[1] The work was conceived by conductor Kent Nagano and cellist Jan Vogler as a transatlantic project bringing together the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and youth choirs from Germany and New York.[2] It was premiered at Carnegie Hall on April 22, 2023, conducted by Nagano with Vogler as soloist,[1] and was subsequently performed at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and at the Dresden Music Festival.[3] Reviewing the premiere, The New York Times wrote that Shepherd "has a fantastic gift for orchestral color."[1] The world premiere recording was released on August 22, 2025, on CAvi-music, a partner label of Deutsche Grammophon.[2]
Also proposed: in the Discography list, update the existing On a Clear Day entry to read: "Released on CAvi-music under license to Deutsche Grammophon, 2025."

Hello. As disclosed above, I am the husband of the article subject. I would like to request the following addition to the Career section. The Dallas premiere was covered by three independent publications.
Proposed text:
In April 2025 the Dallas Symphony Orchestra premiered Shepherd's Quadruple Concerto for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and orchestra, written for the orchestra's four principal woodwind players and conducted by Fabio Luisi.[1] The concerto is in three movements, titled "Strolling Treble," "Heavy Machinery" and "Ganymede."[2] Critics noted its debt to the Baroque concerto grosso.[3][4]
Latticework, a work for violin and cello, was premiered by Leila Josefowicz and Paul Watkins at the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival on June 8, 2025,[5] and was later performed by the same players at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.[6]
