New CEO
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. Set |answered=no to reactivate the request if necessary. |
- What I think should be changed:
I am an employee of Screenvision Media and am requesting updates under Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidelines. Several portions of the article appear outdated, including leadership information and company scale metrics. I am proposing the attached revisions, which are supported by independent third-party sources including Digiday and Celluloid Junkie. I am not editing the article directly and am submitting these changes for review by independent editors.
Here is the biggest change: The CEO listed is currently John Partilla. In June of 2026, a new CEO was appointed, Geoff Schiller.
- Why it should be changed: The information is wrong.

Updating Screenvision Language
[edit]| Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
- What I think should be changed (include citations): I am an employee of Screenvision Media and am requesting updates under Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidelines. Several portions of the article appear outdated, including leadership information and company scale metrics. I am proposing the attached revisions, which are supported by independent third-party sources including Digiday and Celluloid Junkie. Thank you for updating the CEO. The first paragraph has out-of-date information. Would we be able to change to "Headquartered in New York, N.Y., Screenvision Media is a national leader in delivering comprehensive advertising and content representation services for top-tier cinema exhibitors. The Screenvision Media cinema advertising network includes nearly half of all measured cinema admissions, comprising 14,000 screens in 2,300 theatre locations across all 50 states and 94% of DMAs nationwide, delivering through more than 150 theatrical circuits, including seven of the top 10 exhibitor companies."[1]
- Why it should be changed:
The information is outdated.
MollytheSnail333 (talk) 20:58, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
Not done Hi MollytheSnail333. Thank you for the suggestion, but I am declining this edit request because the proposed language is clearly promotional and does not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing or public relations, but the proposed paragraph reads like a sales pitch, especially with the use of marketing terms like "national leader" and "top-tier." Even if the article's existing language is out-of-date, fixing those concerns must not introduce promotional material. Citing an excessive number of metrics can come across as promotional because it hypes up the company's profile. If you intend to revise this request, I would advise being more selective about which metrics you cite. Best, Altamel (talk) 00:42, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for your note. Here is my revised request:
- "The Screenvision Media cinema advertising network includes approximately 14,000 screens across 2,300 theatre locations in all 50 states and reaches 94% of U.S. designated market areas." (SOURCE: https://pulse2.com/screenvision-media-appoints-geoff-schiller-as-ceo-to-lead-next-phase-of-growth/)
- Rationale: The proposed wording removes promotional and potentially excessive detail ("delivering through more than 150 theatrical circuits, including seven of the top 10 exhibitor companies") while retaining the network metrics supported by a published source. The source reports that Screenvision Media's network encompasses approximately 14,000 screens across 2,300 theatre locations in all 50 states and reaches 94% of designated market areas nationwide.
- Please let me know if this can work. Thank you! MollytheSnail333 (talk) 14:49, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, that's definitely an improvement and no longer excessive detail. But I would reword that sentence further because right now, it's a little too closely paraphrased from the original source, in my opinion. Also, do you have any stronger sources than Pulse2 for this claim? Ideally something that's closer to a traditional media outlet. The Pulse2 article is basically a reprint of Screenvision's original press release, and our reliable sources policy cautions against relying on sources that do that (i.e. churnalism). Altamel (talk) 04:08, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
- Sounds good! How about this:
- "Screenvision Media operates a national cinema advertising network spanning more than 2,300 movie theaters and roughly 14,000 screens, providing coverage across all 50 U.S. states and reaching the vast majority of designated market areas."
- Could any of these be stronger sources?

Partly done Deadline Hollywood is listed as a reliable source (see WP:RSPDEADLINE), so that works. I've reworked your sentence based on what could be supported by that article. Altamel (talk) 16:17, 12 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you!
- To keep the ball rolling on more edits, should I continue our conversation on this chain, or open up another one? MollytheSnail333 (talk) 14:06, 17 September 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for updating the CEO and first paragraph. We'd like to add another paragraph in the first section to set up who our CEO is. This is the language we'd like to feature. Please let me know if the citation is strong enough:
"In 2026, Geoff Schiller was appointed Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned media executive, Schiller brings deep expertise across advertising, marketing, operations, revenue, and partnerships, built through leadership roles at some of the industry's most recognized digital media companies. Under his leadership, Screenvision Media is focused on accelerating growth, strengthening its position as a leader in cinema advertising, and delivering innovative solutions that help brands connect with highly engaged moviegoing audiences." [1].
- Why it should be changed: We originally had a paragraph setting up our late CEO John Partilla, and would like to give the same treatment to our new CEO, Geoff Schiller.
