Mike Martz / Joe Vitt (acting)

[edit]

The reason this distinction should be made while it's not made for other head coaches is that technically, Mike Martz was NOT fired until the end of the 2005 season. He was on a leave of absence, and Joe Vitt was merely the *acting* head coach. Certainly, if Martz returned in 2006, we would not regard it as a 2nd term for Martz with Vitt being an official Head Coach in between. So therefore, Linehan succeeded BOTH Martz and Vitt depending on how you look at it in a way that just isn't the case when a coach is fired and an interim coach takes over. - 66.93.144.171 13:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I definitely think this article should be at least semi-protected. With his recent firing, I would expect some vandalism. Richmond96 (talk) 00:07, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
